This type of damage will cost you a fortune to repair if not prevented or dealt with quickly in a timely manner. You may also consider that a living wild animal can and most likely will use your attic as it’s bathroom which overtime can achieve similar results. Squirrels can chew through your wiring and possibly cause electrical fires in your attic.
Generally wildlife left unattended will overtime remove your insulation and/or relocate it, leaving spots with missing insulation. This can lead to your home losing heat in the winter, and cool in the summer. This can cost you more money to heat and cool your home. Don’t take the chance.. call a professional to help you remove the pest and secure your roof.
Wildlife animals such as raccoons and bats can potentially carry Rabies and Histoplasmosis . In the worst case scenario bats in your attic may eventually end up inside your home through your fireplace or other gaps and crevices. Squirrels may carry flees and ticks. And last but not least raccoon feces can contain ring worm parasites, which have the potential to fatally affect a human if gone untreated.
